Shop new and gently used clothing, jewelry, antiques, collectibles, furniture, appliances, housewares, books and other items at Community Hospice Thrift Shops. Our Beach Boulevard store in Jacksonville and our Blanding Boulevard store in Orange Park are mini-department stores, selling new and gently used merchandise at reasonable prices.
Donate new and gently used items at our designated donation drop-off entrance. Your tax-deductible donations are received during store hours each day. We also offer free pickup of large items such as sofas, dressers and appliances. Please call 904.998.1718 or email to schedule a pickup. If you have unsold merchandise that’s taking up valuable store or stock room space, don’t pay to pack it in storage or throw it away. Donate it to the Community Hospice Thrift Shop!
Volunteer your time to help in every aspect of running the store—from assisting customers and operating the cash register to receiving and pricing donations to merchandising items on the sales floor. We could not operate without our volunteers—they greatly impact the success of the stores, ultimately making a difference for the patients and families we care for.

- Thrift Shop Story
A vision to benefit Community Hospice.
Grateful for the loving end-of-life care that her mom received at Community Hospice, Holly Thomas called to donate her mother’s belongings. Upon hearing that Community Hospice did not have a Thrift Shop, she asked, “why?” When told, “We don’t have anyone to help us start one.” Holly replied, “Well, you do now!”
Along the way many others joined the effort. More than a decade later, Community Hospice Thrift Shops continue to be a significant way the community engages in supporting patient care and bereavement services for those in our community.
- Acceptable Items
We gratefully welcome your donations of clean, usable and resalable items. Our Thrift Shops feature quality new and gently used merchandise:
- Furniture - for home and office
- Antiques and collectibles
- Televisions, stero electronics and small appliances
- Women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and accessories
- Housewares, including china, porcelain and glassware
- Home décor, including lamps, vases and framed art
- Domestics, including linens, rugs, quilts/comforters and drapery
- Toys, games and sporting goods
- Books, audiobooks, music (CDs) and videos (DVD and BlueRay)
Due to many safety regulations, we are unable to accept:
- Used beds, cribs or sleeper sofa mattresses
- Infant car seats/infant carriers or any recalled children’s items or toys

Your support of the Community Hospice Thrift Shops impacts lives. Since 2000, our shoppers, donors and volunteers have generated nearly $1.8 million for end-of-life care for adults and children in Northeast Florida and have supported other Community Hospice programs, such as Community PedsCare, Camp Healing Powers and community education and bereavement.
The Thrift Shops also provide items to families of Community Hospice patients. As part of our emergency financial assistances fund, families in need receive a voucher to “shop” for clothing, furniture or appliances.
Donations Direct From the Retail Showroom
If you own a furniture store or wholesale warehouse that sells to the public, and you wish to change out inventory ... we’re happy to accept your donations of any brand-new items. Just give us a call to coordinate delivery and timing.
