EverBank, PGA TOUR and The PGA TOUR Wives Helps Kids Battling Serious Illness

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The PGA TOUR Wives Association hosted the 7th Annual These Kids Can Play event on Tuesday, May 5, exclusively for Community PedsCare® patients and their families at the Stadium Village at THE PLAYERS.

This year's "These Kids Can Jam" themed event, presented by EverBank, featured arts and crafts, face painting, a drum circle, singing performances by the Sharkapellas from Ponte Vedra High School, as well as a visit from zoo animals courtesy of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. The children received books donated by Books-A-Go-Go and were offered the opportunity to hone their golf skills on a replica of the famous 17th island hole. Also giving out a few pointers to kids on the tee was the best known cat in town, Jaxson de Ville.

Many of the PGA TOUR players and their spouses attended the event to interact with the children and families.
Everbank presented Community Hospice Foundation with a $30,000 check and it was matched by THE PLAYERS to support the Community PedsCare program, an initiative for children with life-limiting and life-threatening illness. Community PedsCare is an award-winning, unfunded initiative of Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
