Community Hospice & Palliative Care Is Hosting Its 29th Annual Tree of Life and Candlelight Service of Remembrance In Jacksonville and St. Augustine

Jacksonville and St. Augustine, FL (Nov. 22, 2019) – Honoring the memories of loved ones passed can be challenging day-to-day, but the holidays can be especially difficult.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Stephen R. Chapman Family Community Campus, located at 1355 US 1 Highway South in St. Augustine, will open its doors for the first time to the community in a special way that highlights the lives of treasured family members and friends. This beautiful tradition continues on Thursday, Dec. 5, at Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring, located at 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville.

The 29th Annual Tree of Life and Candlelight Service of Remembrance is here to support the communities it serves by helping families and friends honor the memories of those who have passed away in an uplifting program of music, verse, and reflection.

Illuminated with radiant lights that represent the spirits of those who have departed, Tree of Life is yet another way the community continues its support of the Community Hospice mission to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to patients and their families.

“For 29 years, this beautiful and inspiring tribute to our loved ones has brought such joy and comfort to our community.  Our mission is to expand the Tree of Life and Candlelight Service of Remembrance to all counties we serve. I’m extremely excited that our community in St. Johns County will experience this celebration this year, and I very much look forward to the growth of Tree of Life to continue.” Says Susan Pounder – Stansel, President and CEO Community Hospice & Palliative Care

The celebration at both locations will include refreshments, children’s activities and a special prelude performance before the service. Please bring photos of loved ones to display on the memory tables.

These events are free of charge. In St. Augustine, parking will be available at Destiny International Church, 1485 US 1 South Street. Shuttles will be provided.  In Jacksonville, at the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring, additional parking will be available at Watson Realty at 4685 Sunbeam Road. Shuttles will also be provided.

To commemorate your loved one, you can purchase ribbons, ornaments, and cedar plates with his or her name for the celebration. For more information, please visit TOL.CommunityHospice.com
