Volunteer for Monster Mash Dash and Halloween Doors & More

When you put your time and talents to work as a volunteer at Halloween Doors & More or Monster Mash Dash, you help make possible the high-quality care and support Community PedsCare offers to all Northeast Florida families in need. Some of these families are featured in this video, sharing what Community PedsCare means to them.

Halloween Doors & More and Monster Mash Dash would not be possible without the support of volunteers. We ask volunteers to help the week prior to the event for set-up and the following Monday to help with wrap-up. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

If you are interested in serving as a volunteer for the 2017 Monster Mash Dash or Halloween Doors & More, please contact Angela Washington at 904.407.6139.

Witch Character

If you would like to be a part of planning Halloween Doors & More, we can help find a committee that interests you. From stocking 30,000 pieces of candy in Candyland to recruitment of volunteers to soliciting food and beverage donations to finding the perfect characters, there is always a necessity and appreciation for as little or as much as you can help.

To join the event committee, contact the Community Hospice Foundation at hdm@communityhospice.com.

Proceeds from both events benefit Community PedsCare, a nationally recognized pediatric palliative and hospice program for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. A program of Community Hospice of Northeast Florida in collaboration with Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Nemours Children’s Specialty Care and the University of Florida–Jacksonville, Community PedsCare offers support, comfort and care to more than 150 children and their families.

Taubri

“At age 7, our son was diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. I couldn’t imagine being without Community PedsCare. Our UF Health doctors help us with referrals and our nurse visits regularly. I have frank conversations with our social worker. The child life specialist has connected with my son and my other children. I am grateful for the ways Community PedsCare helps us.”
