11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Deerwood Country Club
10239 Golf Club Drive
Jacksonville, FL 32256

Caring for a child with a complex health condition often means days filled with physical demands, emotional stress, financial burdens, therapy appointments, balancing the needs of other children and family members, and often continuously supervising the child. The Kelsi Leah Young Respite Care Fund provides the gift of rest to parents or guardians of children in the Community PedsCare® program.

Contributions to the  Kelsi Leah Young Respite Care Fund directly impact families’ quality of life by providing:

  • a pediatric nurse who is trained to handle the child’s specific needs;
  • respite for the primary caregivers to take care of themselves and their families;
  • and peace of mind knowing that their child is receiving attentive, quality care.

About the Kelsi Leah Young Respite Care Fund

Kelsi Leah Young (Jan. 28, 2005—Dec. 1, 2005) was a beautiful little girl who touched countless lives during her brief life. Her family has established this fund in her memory.

The Kelsi Leah Young Respite Care Fund provides the gift of rest to parents and guardians of children of Community PedsCare. More than $250,000 has been raised to date allowing for respite care to the more than 320 children and families in our Community PedsCare program. Families who received respite care because of the Kelsi Leah Young Respite Care Fund were able to attend school meetings, siblings’ activities, funerals of family members and doctors’ appointments, among other things. Your support ensures even more families have access to respite care.
