July 22, 2021 (Jacksonville, Fla.) – Applications are now open for the 2021-2022 Community PedsCare Teen Advisory Board. Members of the advisory board act as ambassadors to raise awareness and funds for the program, a nationally recognized pediatric palliative care and hospice program of Community Hospice & Palliative Care for children in Northeast Florida who live with complex, chronic, life-limiting, or advanced illness.
The Teen Advisory Board supports Community PedsCare by volunteering for events and activities, such as Halloween Doors & More, Community PedsCare Holiday Party, creating and developing clubs or activities for fundraising support through schools, and hosting events for the Community PedsCare patients and their families.
Most Community PedsCare services are provided without charge regardless of insurance coverage. All vital care and support is provided at no cost to the family which is made possible through generous community supporters, efforts of Community Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation and Medicare.
The Teen Advisory Board is open to all middle and high school students. To apply, visit tab.communityhospice.com and complete the application. For more information, please contact The Foundation at 904.886.3883 or foundation@communityhospice.com.
