Join us in congratulating Clinical Resource Nurse, Tambra Shurley for earning her Certified Hospice & Palliative Care certification!
The CHPN certification equips Tambra with the knowledge to anticipate patient needs and provide a higher level of care at end of life.
My name is Tambra Shurley, and I’ve been an RN with Community Hospice and Palliative Care for six years.
I was initially hired to a Float Team in a PRN position with the intention of keeping my full-time position at a local hospital. On day one of the New Employee Orientation, I emailed my recruiter and asked if there were any full-time positions available. Everything presented in orientation described the reasons that I wanted to become a nurse. After leaving orientation, I gave my resignation at the hospital and have not looked back.
It is amazing to work for a company that encourages me to take the time to love people! I am surrounded by people that feel the same passion for what we do. They give 100 percent every day to the people we serve, and it is inspiring! I decided to challenge myself professionally and sit for the CHPN exam to give my patients, families, and coworkers my very best.
Congratulations, Tambra! Thank you for serving your patients and families with the highest level of dedication and care.
