Dr. Ellen Talos Joins Community Hospice & Palliative Care as Director of Medical Operations

November 5, 2024 (Jacksonville, Fla.)  – Community Hospice & Palliative Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ellen Talos as Director of Medical Operations. Dr. Talos brings a wealth of experience in family medicine and hospice care to her new role.

Before joining Community Hospice & Palliative Care, Dr. Talos served as a dedicated physician with the Haven Medical Group since June 2011, following a successful tenure with her private practice in family medicine at the Putnam Community Medical Center and is an affiliated clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Talos's commitment to excellence in hospice and palliative care is underscored by her achievement as a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (FAAHPM) in 2019. Her passion for teaching and clinical excellence was recognized when she was named the 2009 Resident Teacher of the Year at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She was also honored with the 2008 Beaumont Hospital SEMMES/Resident of the Year Award.

Throughout her career, Dr. Talos has actively contributed to community health initiatives, volunteering as a physician at the Gary Berstein Community Health Center and as a research assistant at Grady Hospital Emory School of Medicine. She is a proud member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the Putnam Community Medical Society.
